soon and very soon our sometimes son returns
Our "sometimes son" will soon be home. He will be here sometime in 2016. We have been waiting for his return for a few years now.
You see, he made wrong choices. Very wrong. Now he is paying the cost for his choices. But note the quirk to my brow, the lift of the corner of my mouth, the single tear tracking down my blush. Soon, soon, soon.
He has taken the path he is on and made it turn, forced the dirt to move aside by his shovel. Chosen to bring good from ill and not only recognized, accepted, acknowledged and repented but made the conscious, deliberate, ongoing decision to make his life better.
Studying business - aiming at his own business once he is free to choose..
Studying relationships - willing to do the labor to eventually have a solid marriage.
Studying God, the Bible and how we should now live - in order that he may be pleasing in God's sight.
Once he returns he will not leave; not our lives, not our hearts, not our home. He will be welcomed with food, laughter and joy at his return. He will be loved, feted, cared for and "cuffed" as needed to help him continue in his progression. There will be pie, mashed potatoes and salt water dripping onto the plates from our eyes. We will welcome him open -heartedly.
