Road to Relaxation
Times past there was a neighbor at the other end of the road and a helping hand when you were old. Now just a barn in the distance filled w/ quiet thought. Now just a land without liquid near a building where mineral water runs hot.
Soak in the quiet, soak in the solace, soak in the echoes of times long gone. Breathe in the stillness, breathe in the shadows, breathe in the heat to heal the chill brought by the wind that never stops blowing. Listen to the murmur of water slip sliding over concrete edges worn smooth. Listen to swallows and hawks and coyotes, a muted conversation between visitors and your mind as it lets go of tension you forgot to leave at home.
Follow the road to rest and relaxing and sigh as you spend your day.
But come the morrow as you wave 'bye in sorrow, remember the barn filled with water not hay.
